When I started working at Hayarkon 48, I started at the reception desk. During a shift I was in charge of everyone and everything, their well being, explaining about Israel and the city, helping them with all they need. Also, I was working with the computer system (MiniMotel), excel and word. It is a very multitasking and under pressure kind of Job. After a while I offered the owner to open a new position for me as operative manager. My vision was to fill the social void of the hostel. There were always things happening but, no one running and improving them. So my new job was to help my manager and develop the social life of the hostel. Now my job was to be the manager when she was away, be the head of the reception team, back office emails, suppliers and everything else. I started traditions (like friday dinners), opened a volunteering program, created a special discount card for guests only for all the hottest places in town, a monthly activity board and more. I had the time of my life! Show less
