Ronald is a manager that manages on facts and not by a spreadsheet. He has more technical knowledge than would be expected from an ICT manager. Ronald managed the team I've worked in for a short period. During this period we had many changes to do and a lot of pressure, Ronald did a good job of keeping us engineers free from reporting duties so whe could focus on the work that needed to be done! I hope to work with you again one day!

Ronald was the service provider's lead architect for a major migration of desktop systems towards a new back-end infrastructure. Together with a project manager from the service provider he was leading the team to design, build this new infrastructure and support the migration to this new infrastructure. As the client representative pm , my task was to steer this team towards results, with the quality and deadlines we expected. Ronald was a good enabler of discussions, and steered his team to the best solutions possible. When in doubt, he carefully presented the risks and options and advised on the best approach, both keeping the client and service provider perspective in mind. He was sometimes pretty strict in his views at first, but that always enabled a good discussion and a great outcome, on time. Besides his professional approach, Ronald is a pleasant person to be in the room with for the countless days (and nights); he managed to always keep a good atmosphere, even if the pressure went up. By building this culture, he was able to keep all in the team motivated to put in that extra effort that was required. If you need a good solution and a person who knows how to steer a group of technical people, Ronald is certainly to be considered!
