Since 2011 I've been working for Fugro - John Chance Land Surveys, Inc. as an Airborne System Operator. I have logged over 1259 system operator hours controlling the Fli-Map FM400 (rotor wing operations). My other job duties include: multi-day driving to and from project areas, installation of the FM400 system onto the helicopter, real time airborne troubleshooting of system sensors, collecting data as per customer request, providing a daily written system performance report for the engineering support staff, actively participating with system development by providing hardware integration and software evaluation support, spending weeks in the field at a time, setting up GPS Base station equipment, assisting project supervisor with operational field logistics, and conducting level runs. While working for Fugro - John Chance Land Surveys, Inc., I've had an opportunity to interface with other sister companies gaining knowledge and experience in their fixed wing operations. I have learned to operate multiple airborne sensors such as: Leica Airborne Digital Sensor 82 (54.3hrs), Leica Airborne Digital Sensor 100 (32hrs), Riegl Airborne LIDAR Sensor (10.5hrs), Bathymetric LIDAR SHOALS Sensor (115.8hrs) My Job duties also include coordinating with the pilot about what needs to be collected, filling out flight reports, backing up and shipping the data for processing. I have travel across most of North America, Alaska, Hawaii, and even outside the country to places like Canada, Puerto Rico, and Saudi Arabia.
