Responsibilities and achievements: ■ Product: covered product lifecycle from conception to launch in intellectual property licensing, open source, privacy and regulatory compliance including Sitecore's personalization and web analytics engine (Experience Database). ■ Intellectual Property: handled all matters for patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret including work with complex global trademark disputes, inbound patent infringement claims, trade secret misappropriation, technology transfer agreements, development agreements, asset purchases, trademark licensing, patent prosecution and portfolio development, open-source and other code sharing arrangements. ■ Privacy: provided front-line support for privacy compliance matters globally including with adoption of privacy by design, privacy engineering, data sharing arrangements, and statutory compliance under CAN-SPAM, HIPAA, GLBA, EU Directives and GDPR. I led the development of a security and privacy whitepaper for the Experience Database cloud analytics product, redesigned the company's privacy policy and terms of use, and partnered with outside counsel to review data processing procedures of the company globally. ■ Commercial: led growing commercial legal team in North America for software licensing and cloud services and worked closely with counsel in Europe and Asia to support licensing globally and alignment for department processes.
