Ashley Andrews, CHRL

I had the pleasure of working with Ron Shaw while he acted as the Town’s interim Chief Administrative Officer. During our time of transition, Ron took it upon himself to better understand our operations and then jumped in feet first. Ron acted as a mentor to our senior leadership team, while providing guidance and helping to instill confidence among the group. The valuable strategic insight he offered to senior leadership was utilized throughout during major projects, throughout the 2020 business plans, and day to day operations. He enabled employees to make independent decisions, but was always more than willing to listen and provide constructive feedback when requested. He was well respected by Council, members of the public, and staff. Ron’s leadership was invaluable, and although his time with us was short, the positive impact he had will definitely be long lasting!
