Backup and DR redesign of vRanger, SQL Server and DataDomain between two active\active data centers. Worked with Microsoft NLB 2008 and 2008 R2 Terminal Server Farms. Implemented SNMP hardware monitoring in a datacenter and VMware administrator. • Converted daily SQL Server 2005 and 2008 full backups into weekly full with differential backups and moved to the Data Domain using Transact SQL. • Researched, tested and recommended moving all vRanger daily full backups to weekly full backups with incremental daily backups onto the Data Domain. • Data Domain replication shares were running weeks behind schedule. Fixed Data Domain replication to within acceptable DR standards. • Implemented ThinPrint on a Microsoft Terminal Server farm. Tested with Wise Thin clients, Windows 7 and XP clients. • Implemented Microsoft Terminal Server RemoteApp and RemoteDesktop Web Access on a Windows 2008 NLB farm with iPad integration. • Updated firmware and drivers on IBM hardware including BladeCenters and xSeries servers which included diagnosis and fixing of hardware problems. Data center had over 200 servers and 8 BladeCenters. • Implemented SNMP hardware monitoring on IBM RSA (Remote Supervisory Adapter) and IMM (Integrated Management Module) in datacenter. • VMware Administrator included build out of a new VC (Virtual Center) and the live migration of ESXi hosts over to the new VC. • Redesigned the VMware network infrastructure with VLAN’s and the segmentation of the VMotion traffic onto its own network hardware.
