Senior Accounting Manager • Responsible for all daily accounting functions for the company including cash management, 401(k) Plan Administrator, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, monthly general ledger closings and any special projects • Monitor and analyze the company's accounting data and produce internal financial reports and statements for senior management • Provide the company’s outside audit firm with the data necessary for the preparation of the company’s tax returns, including the federal & various states. • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures • Maintain all fiscal files and records as supporting documents for of the company's financial transactions • Work very closely with all departments including Administration, Research and Development, Engineering, Marketing, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure budgets are managed properly. • Maintain effective daily communication with each department to ensure everyone is aware of any changes to budgets, etc. • Assist the Director of Research and Development with preparing budget proposals to be submitted to the National Institute of Health (NIH) for potential grant awards.
