  Known for creating “people places”, experiential rich mixed use environments, the Jerde Partnership is the the foremost expert on placemaking around the world. As Senior Project Designer for Destination Brisbane, a large multi-block mixed-use development of new buildings and renovated heritage buildings set on the banks of the Brisbane River, Ron represented the Jerde Partnership as the international architectural design representative for the project. He evaluated the existing project design and developed strategies to enhance the visitor experience. He engaged with senior executives of the development team, with leading local and state government officials overseeing the development and executive architects and landscape architects who were part of the development team. He provided guidance and oversight for concept initiation and design execution for all placemaking and area development for the multi block development.   As Principal Concept Architect, Ron worked closely with attraction creative directors and team members to visually translate story into environments. By using his thorough knowledge of placemaking principles, planning and architectural experience he was asked to design multiple iterations of the “Village” masterplan, the F&B/Retail portion of the Star Wars Lands. Produced Concept - Schematic level plans, Sketchup models, which were translated to Revit.
