Bio
Elena Fleming
I worked with Romy for a year when she was on placement within the DS Smith Group Innovation team. On a personal level she is innovative, curious, caring and generous with her time, taking every opportunity to offer help and support to others. She is highly passionate about design and improving the lives of others and this can be seen in everything she does. Romy is not afraid to speak up for what she believes in. She is highly passionate about her subject matter and applies UCD thinking and methodology to everything she does. Her skillset and background were completely unique within the team, but it enabled us to challenge how we do things, putting the user and their voice first. Throughout her placement Romy played a key role within the Group Innovation Team, as the creative lead in a number of workstreams and projects of high value and potential to the team. Romy also possesses excellent research and report writing skills. Her highly curious mindset and thoroughness means that she has provided excellent context for us when trying to gather insights / data and thoroughly understand the problems we’re looking to solve. Romy is a fantastic team player as well as an incredibly fast learner and would be an asset to any business that employed her.
