I met Rome when he was the music director at my church. In that role he led a team of worship leaders and musicians and led with a strong heart for God. When he began looking for another position, I hired him as a temp at WesternU and then highly recommended him for a full-time role as Admin Associate role at WesternU. My experience with him in these various roles has been that he is hard working, dedicated, reflective, and people-oriented. He's also reflective which allows for opportunities to build relationships and improve the workplace and processes. I am thankful to have worked with Romellus and highly recommend him for your organization.

I worked with Romellus closely during his time at Riot, given my role as a lead of the Latine ERG, Riot Unidos. As Romellus was a D&I Project Manager, he assisted the ERGs with many of their efforts, including but not limited to, helping organize our heritage month celebrations. Romellus displayed excellent organizational skills in helping us lay out milestones and deliverables, as well as delegating assignments to individuals. He interfaced with various teams, both within Riot and outside as we explored external collaborations, and through it all showcased careful and considered insight and communications, helping to address conflict and being a partner in the truest sense of the word. Additionally, Romellus was incredibly mindful and gracious, consistently giving our teams the space to call our shots and define the outcomes we desired. His support was invaluable, and a large part of the success of our own Latin American Heritage Month. In sum, working with Romellus was a pleasure, and I can only look forward to partnering with him again in the future in whatever capacity we can.

I had the great pleasure to work with Romellus for a little more than a year at 1021 Creative. I was impressed with him immediately as he not only hit the ground running on a complex project, one where he repeatedly had to adjust on the fly based on the project's changing needs, but he's also truly empathetic, demonstrates great leadership and is someone I really enjoyed working with. He always advocated for the people he managed and made sure they were given every opportunity to succeed, and it was obvious he cared about the people he worked with as well as 1021 Creative itself. He also had experience doing the same work as his direct reports, so he understood the types of challenges they might encounter and could therefore more easily relate and suggest actionable solutions. Along with being incredibly detail oriented, Romellus was also very proactive, anticipating various needs on the project and generating extensive documentation with solutions to meet those needs. He also made sure to keep in close contact with the client and worked well with them, establishing a trust that I believe continues to benefit 1021 Creative's relationship with the client to this day. I can not only recommend Romellus as a stellar employee who brings his best every single day, but I also think he's an outstanding person who any organization would be lucky to have on their team.
