Managing aggregates production plant Hüntwangen with an annual production rate of 2 million tons (2011). Line responsibility for a total of 32 employees. Planning and achieving production budget. Optimizing production processes. Supporting sales department based on technical and professional advice. Responsible for joint maintenance of the aggregates plant and the three RMX plants in the greater Zurich area.Improved processes in production by integrating processing and shipping (rail and truck) into the newly created production department.Set up the basis for centralized maintenance for the aggregates plant and the three RMX plants in the area of Zurich by separating the maintenance from production team into a dedicated maintenance department.Insured the successful implementation of the new organizational architecture by designing and implementing an effective communications concept.Improved the plants Running Equipment Effectiveness (REE) from an initial 76% average to an 85% average through the synchronization of the three major process steps (1) raw material extraction, (2) processing and (3) shipping.Continuously improved working conditions with focus on Occupational Safety and Health (OH+S) through continuous staff training and implementing of technical and organizational measures.

Leading new building and modification projects (CAPEX) of Holcim’s own plants for aggregates and ready-mix concrete production in Switzerland. Especially coordinating interfaces between different stakeholders involved in the projects; conducting contract negotiations; leading final inspections; contributing to the capital expenditure budgeting process.Successfully managed project teams and coordinated stakeholders in relation to the realization of different construction, modification and modernization projects, mainly for concrete production plants (project languages: German, French and Italian).Ensured the achievement of project cost goals (project budgets range up to 5.0 million CHF e.g. the construction of new concrete production plants in Oberdorf NW and in Stuttgart, Germany and relocation of entire concrete plants).Managed submissions for turn-key production plants, essential parts of production plants, planning services and work performances.Aligned user requirements with cost and quality targets regarding capital expenditure budgets (CAPEX).Contributed to the reduction of production costs by optimizing production flows in an international project team (Concrete Operational Review COR).Consulted various project and production managers on technical issues regarding concrete production within Holcim (Schweiz) and also Holcim Ltd (international projects).
