Responsible for reviewing instrument and electrical maintenance requests from other departments and determining job scope in terms of labor, materials, equipment, and tools required to complete the job and works closely with the operating department representatives and Maintenance Supervisors to plan maintenance ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plan jobs as determined by operations and maintenance • Assign the cost of the work order or project to proper cost center or engineering project number • Stage parts and tools necessary to complete work • Specify parts needed for instrument and electrical maintenance work and acquire through stores inventory or vendors • Coordinate and assist in the planning of shutdowns and prepare shutdown packages that include timelines, material requirements, necessary drawings, procedures and contractor needs • During shutdowns provide support that may be outside of normal activities, for example assisting with crane activity, transporting of parts and equipment, etc. • Maintain equipment data, Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Calibration plans • Coordinate planning operations within the site for consistency • Plan work orders and PM's, maintain equipment histories, analyze equipment & maintenance performance and maintain instrument and electrical maintenance metrics • Identify and acquire any specialized tools or equipment required • Development of standard craft time and plan and schedule the work of Instrument Technicians and Electrical Technicians • Serve as a backup for the Maintenance Planner-Mechanical
