Main research focus on investigation of nanosecond-pulsed plasma discharge in liquid nitrogen as a unique tool for synthesis of unconventional materials. Research goals and outcomes: •Synthesis of highly energetic polynitrogen compounds at extremely low temperatures with nanosecond electrical discharge. Characterization of the synthesized material and their decomposition products using Raman spectroscopy and FTIR •Experimental characterization of discharges in gasses and liquids and investigation of external parameter affects •Correlating decomposition products with supposed material structure to find potential pathways Additional projects •Application of low temperature atmospheric and sub-atmospheric discharges for sterilisation •Development and assembly prototype for low pressure sterilization system using plasma jet array Show less
