This project involved processing of medical bill from a new vendor within existing production applications in PMA. Medical bill payments loaded into PMA and processed by Claim Center were sent to Claim Repository, and from there to WebSeries application for payments. Additional reconciliation processes where added to control proper manage care fee models/structure as well as to compare the full history of medical bills. New DB2 tables have been defined, multiple batch programs written, as well as existing CICS transaction/screen modified to handle a new manage care fee structure (COBOL, CICS, DB2, MQ).

  Client: Merrill Lynch • As Lead Architect, designed, tested and implemented the Automated Dividend Processing System (ADPS) which prepares an automated investment database that identifies the investment options maintained by each plan on the MLII OMNIPLAN (401K) system. • Provided systematic monitoring of dividend related announcements: ex-dividend, record, payable date and the dividend rate per share declared for each security. • As a lead programmer, played a major role in redesigning and rewriting the Automated Reconciliation System. − The new system incorporated feeds from many sources allowing it to match significantly more transactions in an automated mode than the existing system and reduce manual effort to resolve breaks. • Worked on the design and implementation of the dividend piece of the Portfolio Accounting Reconciliation System, which provided the functionality necessary to automate Unitized Accounting for MLII OMNIPLAN 401(K) plans. − This supported Unitized Funds consisting of Underlying Funds: Equities, Mutual funds and Collective Trusts paired with Money Market funds. − He also implemented necessary summary and reconciliation reports. • Redesigned and implemented the Cashiering Distribution System which consists of generating participants checks for loans, terminations, withdrawals, and any other type of distribution such as rollovers, in-kinds, advises. In order to improve processes and eliminate errors, he converted/moved data from local databases (Access) to the mainframe platform (VSAM files).
