   As a Data Engineer / SQL Developer my primary job is to support our contract with the Department of Homeland Security. Responsiblities: • Design and develop software systems and applications that efficiently handle and process large datasets. • Creating store procedures, tables, databases, and functions using SQL. • Doing database deployment using DACPAC. • Build and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data (ETL) from various sources into target systems using SSIS. • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures for efficient data storage and retrieval. • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing techniques to ensure high performance and scalability. • Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of data. • Identify and resolve issues related to data integrity, data transformation, and system performance. • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code and conduct thorough testing to ensure software quality. • Providing timely response and resolution of emergency production questions, issues, and defects. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
