There are certain qualities you look for in a manager. The biggest, in my opinion, is trust. When I came on board to BeOp, Romain had told me what to expect from him as well as the company. There was never a moment in the time I worked for Romain that he ever veered away from those expectations. I routinely invited him on meetings that I hosted, and he graciously joined, regardless of the time difference. He offered wonderful perspective and always allowed the conversations to move forward rather than keep it stagnant. Romain was very transparent in how decisions were made with the company and why a certain path was being taken. It was also known, that when Romain was asked to fight on our behalf for something, he absolutely did it. I would love to say these are things all managers do, but sadly that is not always the case. Working for Romain was a breath of fresh air and found it to be an absolute pleasure!
