At Schools of the Future - Uganda we aim to create a long-lasting positive effect on the country of Uganda, by inspiring children of all ages to explore the world of science and technologies, supporting them were needed. Our mission to accomplish this vision is to develop a long-term program with workshops for children of different age ranges. These workshops will have a content which shows the children how technology is everywhere around them. This way we want to show the children how broad technology is and that there is a kind of technology for everybody.

At TNO we searched for a method to speed up an Atomic Force Microscope measurement. By measuring in a medium more dense that air, we could increase the damping, thus lowering the settling time of the cantilever. A lower settling time means a faster measuring speed.
