  Basic Space is an independent art organisation with a programme of residencies, exhibitions and educational events in collaboration with practitioners and art institutions throughout Ireland. Curated 'Sometimes the water flows backwards...', solo exhibition by artist Cara Farnan, held at Backwater Artist Studios, Cork, January 2019.Initiated and developed a month long residency in collaboration with Dutch Arts Organisation Onono (Rotterdam, NL) awarded through an open call process to Dublin-based artist Rosie O'Reilly. The residency took place in March 2019, with a presentation to the public to mark the end of the residency.Programmed 'Basic Talks', a series of monthly talks held at the Hugh Lane Gallery (Dublin City Centre) with leading contemporary practitioners.
