Maintain Equipment Uptime: Assess breakdown and allocate support to ensure minimum machine downtime. Manage preventive and predictive maintenance and direct root cause failure analysis to correctrepetitive failure mechanisms of equipment leading to effective asset optimization. Reliability centered maintenance, Asset Criticality analysis, Risk Based Inspections.Provide Engineering Support:  Plan for preventive maintenance and spares procurement. Develop technology and suppliers for new equipment. Efficient operations of plant and machinery in adherence with defined M & R expenditure budget.Support Production Activities: Maintain reorder levels of spares and coordinate procurement.  Ensure engineering stores audits once in three months.  Indigenize spares with vendors.Buy and Pay for Materials and Services: Raise indent and create appropriation Request on SAP/ERP.  Forward to purchase, negotiate jointly and shortlist vendor.  Check and Certify bills related with M&R Plant & Machinery, Building Contract, Building Stores, Plant and machinery Stores, and Misc G.L. AccountsEnsure Statutory and Legal compliance: Periodically review license status for statutory needs of Government bodies. Visit required statutory authorities and arrange for inspections.Review and Reporting: Take review process log books to monitor plant and machinery performance. Monitor safety aspects inside the factory such as electrical installations, ETP/STPOthers: Review current year expenses and prepare budget for next year.  Scrap Management -Assess machine condition and take decision on selling. Fire & Safety -regular inspections of electrical fittings/panels. Ensure proper earthing and zero power leakage.
