Responsible for assisting with the mechanical design, force and constraints analysis, and finite element analysis of a lightweight, thermoplastic Interconnecting Clamp (ICC) and its supporting bracket for use on wiring bundles and harnesses for Sikorsky Blackhawk UH-60 Helicopters. A Product Design Specification (PDS) was made such that the necessary design loads, environmental conditions and tests to be performed on the clamp could be identified. The information in the PDS was pulled from military and aerospace standards for clamps that were/are currently in use. Following the creation of the PDS, models in Solidworks were designed and were bounded by design constraints that the clamp would undergo during operation. Various models of the clamp and brackets were made and analyzed using Ansys Mechanical to verify their respective viability in the future.

Designed and worked on “Facial Feature Recognition” to Control a Duckiebot (MIT robot that simulates autonomous driving) at the CATS Lab at RPI. The robot’s driving functionality was controlled via numerous encoded facial expressions in MATLAB. Designed the “Multifunctional Adjustable Head Piece” using facial feature extraction code in MATLAB, using Python and C++ libraries. The code captured 68 facial landmark points through a live video feed and was repurposed to facilitate potential control of a Baxter industrial robot that was attached to an electronic wheelchair to allow for movement.
