Embracing the dynamics of working with a franchisor holding 9 brands utilizing shared services, obtaining my CFE and traveling the globe were very rewarding experiences. I enjoyed using my design skills to create a new showroom that was launched world-wide as well as a result. The challenge of upgrading all POS and workflow systems globally was terrific. Show less

The company has significant commercial vessels that offer deep sea fishing, sight seeing tours, charters, rentals and merchandise. Initially nervous about taking on the unknown, the experience confirmed my belief that the widget is not as relevant as the talent it takes to apply business best practices, regardless of product or services. The company thrived during my tenure, having record revenue growth and expansion of products and services. Valuable lessons absorbed where understandings of maritime law, marine biology, oceanic passenger vessel safety, Florida fish & wildlife and Coast Guard regulations. The most rewarding experience was interacting with a plethora of colorful characters ranging from Master Captains & Fleet managers, Captains, Mates and their Crew. I enjoyed coaching the retail, sales and rentals teams to significant milestones. Show less

The most interesting part of my career was having the opportunity to apply my interest in engineering and science to design a remanufacturing facility, create the processes and workflow system that reduced the company's debt service by seven figures during the recession. One of the most rewarding parts of my career here was staff levels quadrupling during a time when companies were laying off employees. Most impacting was proving that America is fully capable of producing high quality products in an eco-friendly manner in a non-unionized environment. Show less
