Most of my work for GMS Systems has involved the design development and project engineering of Accessible Goods Only Lifts and the installations thereof. These lifts meet local and international regulations and are competitively priced in the global market.A brief description of my role follows:- Management of the complete manufacture and installation processes of goods lifts, from tender through to commissioning, locally and abroad.- New product development, including problem identification, conceptual and detailed designs, as well as oversight of manufacture.- 3D component modelling and 2D drafting of system layouts using CAD software- Electrical control system design and wiring diagrams- Structural design for lifts, mezzanine floors and multi-level pipe-work structures- Development of marketing material and input into marketing strategy- Sales of goods lifts, involving building relationships with clients and compilation of sales quotations- Creation of product documentation including operating & maintenance manuals, installation instructions and record books.- Technical support for clients and service agents- Assistance to GMS with the design of other materials handling equipment Show less
