My main duties consisted in the development of new catalytic reactions using transition metal catalysts. One of my projects dealt with the design of cross-coupling reactions using cyclic sulfate esters as electrophilic coupling partners. Another important aspect of my work consisted in mentoring graduate students in my group in the use of dry-box and Schlenk techniques, as well as teaching basic elements of structural inorganic chemistry and organometallic chemistry.
