Although we come from two different organizations, it does not prevent our working together to achieve a shared goal: to assist veterans find gainful employment. Develop job and training opportunities for Veterans with service-connected disabilities. Provide direct services to Veterans enabling them to be competitive in todays labor market. Provide Outreach and offer assistance to disabled Vets' and other Veterans. Provide Veterans with in-depth assessments to evaluate possible employment opportunities, benefits, and employment referrals. Establish and maintain relationships with companies to encourage Veteran placement.Train Veterans on resume building, job search planning, interviewing skills and techniques, and how to translate military service to civilian job experience.I work with employers, Veterans' organizations, the Department of Veterans' Affairs as well as community-based organizations to help connect veterans with appropriate jobs and training opportunities.We also serve as case managers for Veterans enrolled in federally-funded job training programs such as the Department of Veterans Affairs' Vocational Rehabilitation program, and other Veterans with serious disadvantages in the job market.
