In addition to my entrepreneurial endeavors, I have been actively involved in advocating for the cybersecurity workforce and have taken proactive steps to address the shortage of skilled professionals in the field. One of my initiatives includes implementing a Department of Labor (DOL) registered apprenticeship program, which provides aspiring cybersecurity professionals with practical experience and expertise. In collaboration with various organizations and agencies such as the NIST/NICE community of interest for cybersecurity apprenticeship, the US Department of Labor, the SC Department of Commerce, the SC Department of Education, and Apprenticeship Carolina, I have worked towards the development and implementation of effective cybersecurity apprenticeship programs. These efforts aim to bridge the skills gap and cultivate a strong and capable cybersecurity workforce. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results, fostering growth, and contributing to the advancement of the industry. During my tenure, I held a pivotal role as the overseer of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Inspector General (OIG) cyber security program.
