Rodney and I met during an Emzingo conference where he worked as an intern. He presented himself immediately by asking many questions and engaging with the audience. Since that point in 2020, Rodney and I have kept in touch to make sure that his professional path developed how he wants it to. Rodney continues to impress me with not only his professional accolades but his personal ones as well. Professionally, he challenges himself to get better and better each day, exploring many different topics that surround him. He is studying very technical subjects in school while simultaneously working on his financial investment trading business. This is VERY difficult to do all at once, but Rodney doesn’t seem to shy away from the challenge. His approach is always: how can I learn more and have an impact? And I admire him greatly for that. Personally, he has grown so much over the last couple of years. He is helping build the community around him by being a leader in several academic functions, while also uncovering the field of mental health to his colleagues. He recognizes how much people are struggling around the world with their own happiness and personal stability, and is consistently fostering conversations to make sure people around him have a helping hand should they need one.
