Living Laudato Si’ Philippines (LLS) is an interfaith movement initiated by Catholic laypeople calling on Philippine financial institutions to divest from coal- related operations and other environmentally harmful activities.Founded by Bro. Armin Luistro, FSC, and Rodne R. Galicha, on the eve of the fifth anniversary of supertyphoon Yolanda’s landfall in the Philippines, it also aims to empower citizens to adopt lifestyles and attitudes that live up to the urgent need to take care of our common home. Its actions are anchored towards the goal to promote sustainable development and stop the climate crisis and environmental degradation through collective action between people from different sectors.LLS is inspired by Pope Francis’s second encyclical Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.

Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment, and to promote peace. We expose environmental criminals, and challenge government and corporations when they fail to live up to their mandate to safeguard our environment and our future. In pursuing our mission, we have no permanent allies or enemies. We promote open, informed debate about society's environmental choices. We use research, lobbying, and quiet diplomacy to pursue our goals, as well as high-profile, non-violent creative confrontation to raise the level and quality of public debate. And we believe that the struggle to preserve the future of our planet is not about us. It's about you. Greenpeace speaks with the voice of 2.8 million supporters worldwide, and encourages many millions more than that to take action every day.To maintain our independence, we do not accept donations from governments or corporations but rely on contributions from individual supporters and foundation grants. We take the name of our flagship, the Rainbow Warrior, from a North American Cree Nation legend. It described a time when humanity's greed has made the Earth sick. At that time, a tribe of people known as the Warriors of the Rainbow would rise up to defend her.One of the longest banners we've ever made summed things up: "When the last tree is cut, the last river poisoned, and the last fish dead, we will discover that we can't eat money..."

In 2006, Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore got the world talking about climate change with the Academy Award-winning film An Inconvenient Truth. It was just the beginning of a climate revolution. Later that year, he founded what would become The Climate Reality Project to move the conversation forward and turn awareness into action all across the Earth.Today, as Climate Reality, we’re a diverse group of passionate individuals who’ve come together to solve the greatest challenge of our time. We are activists, cultural leaders, organizers, scientists, and storytellers committed to building a sustainable future together.

Bank Information Center (BIC) was founded in the 1980s to serve as a bridge between civil society around the world and international financial institutions (IFIs), which were financing development projects that profoundly impacted people's lives. In recent years, shifting power structures and the rise of new institutions have dramatically altered the development finance landscape, and restricted space for civil society continues to make engagement in the development process difficult, risky, or even impossible. Staying ahead of this rapidly evolving backdrop requires us to seek new opportunities for advancing our mission, and makes our work even more important today than when we were founded over 30 years ago.
