- Ensure Safe working- replacing terminal manager in his absence- Plan, co-ordinate and supervise all lifting activities in accordance with the Lifting Plan, Method Statement- Creating lifting plans and method statements- Responsible for the works: Ensure dockers recieve and follow the correct instructions.- Ensure that the highest standards of Health and Safety are met and maintained- Read AutoCad Drawings- Briefing all lifting team members (i.e., crane operators, Foremen, riggers and signalmen) on the Lifting Plan, risk control measure and safe lifting procedure before the commencement of lifting operations up to 500 Mt- Ensuring that only registered crane operators, appointed riggers and appointed signalmen participate in any lifting operation involving the use of mobile and vessel cranes- Overseeing lifting operations (Regular Lifts, Tandem Lifts, Forklifts, Reach Takers and SPMT’s)- Checking certificates of all the lifting/rigging equipment, for compliance and dates and ensure that are in a safe working order- Coordinating with the different departments towards reaching daily objectives- Maintain good relationship with internal and external parties.(customers, suppliers, subcontractors,...)- Organised with the ability to simplify complex issues- Remaining calm in stressfull situations- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working with a time critical service environment - Maintaining a constant watch over safety and quality during the performance of the works- Creation of daily , weekly and monthly reports.
