I have known Rod as a friend and colleague for over ten years since we worked together in the Airbus office in Sydney. Rod was Vice President Sales and led a team on various new aircraft campaigns in the region. Rod had an incredible knowledge and enthusiasm for the business, he was supportive of his team and keenly focused on getting results. Through his leadership Airbus sold 12x A380 and 13x A330 to Qantas in 2000, breaking a Boeing monopoly at the airline and giving Airbus one of its most important campaign wins ever. Since then Rod has broadened his experience in both the airline and finance sectors. I have enjoyed working with Rod both professionally and personally, and would recommend him for any leadership role.
