I have had the great pleasure on knowing Rod for the 15 years. When I was given the opportunity to head up the residential and student service division at Milton Hershey School (i.e., Dean of Neighborhood and Family Life), Rod was the Dean of Scholastic Affairs. Although we were co-equals as Deans, Rod had significantly more experience as a senior administrator and was both willing and eager to serve in the role of mentor. Without his support, advice and encouragement, it would have much more difficult to adjust to my new role. Without a doubt, Rod's greatest strength is his ability to prioritize and manage projects. He is an excellent systems thinker and is skilled at helping others to see and understand their individual role in the larger picture. Rod is a true "leader" and has built a very successful career in the field of educating America's youth!
