Responsible for complete servicing aspects of all sales bookings from 10 – 300 rooms on peak night for all market segments at the 353 room, full service property, connected to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. Work closely with all departments to ensure services are provided in a consistently superior and efficient manner. Lead banquet event order review meetings, weekly operational departments’ group resume meetings, as well as pre/post convention client meetings. Responsible for the delivery and enforcement of mutual contractual obligations, including performance agreements, minimum food and beverage arrangements, deposit schedules, final billing settlements, and resulting customers’ satisfaction. Monthly 30 day Group Forecasts with regular accuracy within 3% of actual. Active involvement in daily business review meetings to ensure domination of #1 or #2 in the market-set in all years of employment. Regular liaison with Convention Center Event Managers for shared events, including multi-property citywide conventions, hospitality suite coordination for major tech-related and other large citywide programs. Property liaison with the San Jose Sports Authority for large citywide sports events, i.e. several NCAA Basketball finals, Grand Prix, and numerous U.S Olympic events. Completely fluent with MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Delphi property management systems. Sought and spearheaded additional projects, creating the hotels’ post-renovation, Sales and Marketing print collateral. Directly responsible for facilitating the growth and development of team members through ongoing, direct mentorship. Recognized for superior customer service and teamwork through client feedback/repeat bookings & Team Member recognition via monthly and quarterly accolades throughout tenure.
