  In 2020, I began my studies as an Occupational Therapist. I have since completed two placements, one in a community Learning Disability team and one in Community Health and Social Care and am currently on my third placement in a role emerging environment. These placements have given me the opportunity to develop skills in assessment, goal setting, intervention, evaluation and outcome measurement. I have also developed my skills in building a therapeutic working relationship with clients and their families/ carers in supporting them to achieve their goals. All positions have enabled me to work as part of a team and carry out lone working, and to tailor my approach to practice to suit the needs of the individuals I have worked with. My academic studies while at university have enabled me to develop my knowledge relating to models of practice, approaches to practice, working with individuals, groups and communities and considerations relating to Person, Occupation and Environment and policy and legislation that guides practice. I am currently on track to graduate with a 1:1 having gained both placement and academic results at this level and hope to maintain this level of achievement. Show less
