I have recently just taken on a temporary position of Admin Assistant for Barony Housing Association who provides housing, care and support in Central Scotland. I work in one of the regional offices where I provide a professional front-of-house response to all telephone, email and in person enquiries from members and the general public, I assist with the booking of rooms for meetings, interviews, training and other events, provide efficient office services including dealing with mail, filing and photocopying and ensuring the office is tidy, well organised and provide a safe working environment for employees. I have gained great knowledge in Microsoft applications, especially word and excel which I use on a daily basis. I deal with invoices and follow a procedure in making sure these are processed to our finance team correctly in order for payment using a software system called iPOS. I am currently helping with an office move and have the role of following a retention schedule to ensure confidential files are dealt with and archived accordingly. Show less

I was trained in many areas during my time at Tesco, including; morning bake off, bringing in all types of deliveries, stock control and cash & admin. I also dealt with customers whether it is greeting them in the store, helping them when in need or serving them at the checkouts. I worked various shifts; early mornings, during the day and also late nights, and although the store didn’t run through the night, I had done nightshifts. I was also able to help out other stores within the company. Within my last couple of year I became a Gold Step Up, this involved me to help with the running of the store when I was required.
