During her 10+ years at Advance Handling Equipment, Robin brought the company into the 21st century by establishing systems, standards and procedures for every aspect of our business.For our customers, Robin analyzed warehouse space utilization and business processes and designed solutions that helped our customers optimize workflows and storage space, thereby improving efficiency, economy and safety of operations. Robin worked hand in hand with customers to refine proposed projects to best fit the customers’ needs, schedule and budget, then managed these projects to successful completion. As a CPA, her head for numbers was very beneficial to the company and its customers. She even used her beloved Excel spreadsheets to draw warehouse layouts!Internally, Robin managed all the company’s financial and risk management functions as well, including purchasing, payroll, job costing, tax matters, billing and collections (never writing off a single bad debt in ten years), human resources, safety, and planning. Robin designed a template for attractive, precise and easy to understand proposals that turned into a binding contract with just a signature from the customer. She also developed a network for communicating with colleagues and customers about used equipment opportunities. She was an innovator in selling used material handling equipment on EBay. Robin established a project management system, including forms and procedures to facilitate the entire project cycle from specifications, budgets, proposals and revisions, to purchasing and managing projects to successful completion. Robin was also instrumental in successfully shipping material handling equipment all over the US, even to the Philippines!
