Travel opportunities became available to a select few of us that Corporate office had to assist in the installation of IBM 360-390 Controllers and division data consisting mostly of Customer Base and Inventory. Also during that 14 years of tenure, the mainframe (360-390 series) was upgraded several times. Rarely affecting division input to corporate office. When changes were required, training often was provided at corporated office or several of us (who traveled) were trained and helped with on-site training for divisional users throughout U.S. Nearing end of tenture was given the opportunity to become PC Corrdinator/Analyst for Corporate Divisions. Developed several DBase3 applications to assist division's in producting data that was currently not available from Corporate Headquarters. Included, but not limited to Inventory Control of non inventoried items via Corporate office. Also traveled to Division offices and helped with the training on personal computers in the mid 1980's when the use of personal computers were just hitting the market. Completed BA and moved onto other opportunities that would use my new skills for both the company's and myself's benefit. Show less
