Humanitas is the successor organisation to "FRODO", Foundation for the Relief of Disabled Orphans, a U.K. registered charity where Robin was the founder and Chairman. FRODO's mission was to improve the lives of abandoned children living with physical or mental disability in developing countries. Original flagship programs: 1) "Treatment & Training", surgeons from the U.K. and U.S. traveled to Romania & Albania to perform complex surgery on children while providing advanced training to local surgeons, & 2) "I.T." (Institutional transformation), where western trained therapists and doctors work with their local counterparts to improve the quality of care for children living in institutions. Humanitas has now expanded to children in need in Ghana and elsewhere in the world where extreme poverty, war and family dislocation hinders the development of children to their fullest potential.
