  The Dutch Association of Diving Companies - NADO - is a branch organization of employers in the diving industry that was founded in 1984. Started as a foundation, the NADO has been operating as an association since 1990. About 23 Dutch diving companies are affiliated to the NADO, which are active in the offshore (oil & gas extraction), offshore wind farms, civil engineering, harbor, shipping and salvage and 7 companies that have diving as a secondary activity. or be a supplier to the diving industry. Goal: The association aims to promote the interests of diving companies and related companies in the Netherlands. This objective is pursued by: • being a central point for the interested Dutch business community; • cooperating with other groups in the related field and acting as a representative of the Dutch diving industry in contacts with government and scientific institutions, in order to utilize the potential available in the Netherlands in the field of underwater and diving activities as effectively as possible; • stimulating plans and indicating new opportunities, which may be of economic importance to the relevant Dutch business community; • to contribute to a well-considered Dutch position in international affairs. • negotiating and concluding (collective) agreements with organizations of employees, clients, and other organizations of interest to the members; • drafting, keeping up-to-date and maximally profitable general conditions for the performance of (diving) work (s); NADO encourages its members to strive for greater safety and quality. The NADO members have complied with this by signing a policy statement. The members of the NADO make employees available to transfer their expertise for Working Conditions legislation and are always collocutor for the regulators and governmental organizations.
