The CFO part of the role was responsible for maintaining overall financial control through monthly reporting by all international business entities by collating & performing first review & variance analysis follow-up of the Group Pack for presentation to the Stakeholders at the monthly Group Board meeting. Prepare the Management & PI recharges to group, liaise & collate the Annual Budget for all the business entities for presentation & approval at the November Group Board meeting. Collate all the local and international Statutory accounts and consolidate them (48 business entities with multi-currencies) using Sage Accounts Production Advanced. Liaising with the independent auditors and overseeing the annual audit of the Group Consolidated Accounts followed by submission to the Regulator. Preparing & presenting the Quarterly PI submission as well as the detailed Annual PI renewal submission. The role also included travelling to the Dixcart offices in Isle of Man, London & Madeira (as Director of several local subsidiary companies) to attend their quarterly board meetings and represent the interests of the stakeholders and resolve issues raised by them. The Chief Risk Officer role involved identifying, documenting & controlling all primary business risks & opportunities. Drafted the original Dixcart Group Business Risk Policy Manual to ensure that all local & international entities uphold the expected level of service while maintaining the sound business reputation of Dixcart. This Manual held priority over local Compliance & Procedure manuals. The role also involved visiting each office at least annually to carry out an internal audit & drafting a report for local Directors & the Stakeholders to measure adherence to strategic, reputational, operational, financial, regulatory & compliance requirements.
