I would hire Robin for any operational leadership position I have in the future. She is also one of the first people I would bring onboard when building a team. Robin has the characteristics necessary leading event operations – extreme ownership and oversight, attention to detail, unflappable and knowing not only what she needs to do, but others as well. What makes her a bit different, and more beneficial, is while knowing the responsibilities of others she is all to glad to lend a hand to others when in need, regardless of her own responsibilities. Robin is never above getting involved, ‘getting her hands dirty,’ and was always a second set of eyes and a balancing perspective for me. In addition to Robin’s relationships with our vendor partners, her close relationship with our co-location partners was truly the key to our long-term success. I worked with Robin during and through the recovery of Hannover Fairs USA, a very difficult time for the organization, and admit that we would not have been able to survive without Robin’s leadership.

Across ten years of close team cooperation, I have found Robin Estey to be a highly talented, hard-working, battle-tested, frugal, and innovative leader in all phases of events & logistics management. She is highly collaborative and seeks consensus for whatever activities she undertakes, and she is someone with instinctive smarts you can rely on—no matter the task. She works brilliantly under stress, a difficult trait to master in her chosen challenging field, and accordingly she has a gift for smooth navigating amid difficult relationships and circumstances. Robin has inherent experience when it comes to squeezing budgets for optimal outcomes. She is highly organized, deadline focused, and detail driven without being overbearing. Quite the contrary, co-workers and vendors alike revel in her self-assured work ethic—and her good humor—even when faced with overwhelming obstacles. Moreover, Robin has vast cultural sensitivities in that she has worked routinely well with the people of many nations and in several countries—aided in part by the fact that she speaks fluent German and Dutch. Given that Robin has long been associated with the world's largest tradeshow operation, Deutsche Messe and its subsidiaries, for me she represents the pinnacle of stable tradeshow and logistics management. She has experienced it all, and she has consistently executed with distinction under wide-ranging conditions. I can think of no one in her field that I'd rather be working alongside in a world-class tradeshow setting.
