This included analysis and commentaries for Exco, RMC, AOPs and group external reporting. Major achievements include : • Developed a global set of pricing guidelines to bring consistency to pricing decisions across sites using different platforms. • Led a clearchoice with the endorsement of Exco to shape the future strategy of pricing and portfolio management tools across the global business • Significantly improved analytical capability of the global business by driving and embedding the use of Group Capital reporting systems (RCT) • Developed and implemented a set of globally consistent Portfolio Risk MI across both the global business and regions. This includes analysis of projected balance sheet movements used to actively challenge sites on growth targets. • Developed and implemented a consistent Risk Appetite framework and process across the global business and regions.

The evolving proposition will enable the credit risk exposure of the asset book across CMB UK (c£35 bn) to be more actively managed. The job has involved liaising with the senior management across CMB to ensure RoRWA optimization is embedded within the business and provides guidance on pricing both on more complex transactions / defining overall hurdle rates and pricing curves. Major achievements include • Development and deployment of a Risk Based Pricing model platform across the CMB business. Through focussing on Relationship and transactional returns this drove improved margins and RoRWA across the business. • Establishing an analytics function and Management Information (MI) capability from scratch to a position that was recognised as class leading across CMB globally. • Establishing a fully an interactive Risk Appetite statement along with shaping industry sector balance sheet strategies • Delivering Capital management and RoRWA analysis which is embedded within the business lines and identifying actions to drive capital efficiency and returns. This has driven £2.7bn of RWA savings over 3.5 years

The role primarily served the Invoice Finance Business with a balance sheet of £2bn net income of c£100m and over 300 FTE. As a Finance Manager this included : • Delivering timely operating plans and challenging the business senior management to deliver plans in line with group expectations. • Monitoring and reporting performance against plan and promptly identifying performance issues. • Maintaining effective cost control which included implementing MI to tightly control T&E expenditure and identify savings to IT recharges through ensuring the correct use of hardware. • Presenting Financial performance highlights to the monthly Senior management meetings • Ensuring relevance of MI, which involved simplifying the proliferation of reports across the business and streamlining of MI production processes. In addition to providing overall co-ordination for planning and performance analysis to the Raising Finance segment as a whole. This involved consolidating the results of the other business lines and presenting issues and commentaries to senior management.
