  Doves is a Volvo car dealership. I am employed as a Web Specialist which is a varied role which includes a high level of business analysis. Among the tasks is analysis of cars against the market and competitors and ensuring cars are prepared and marketed properly. There is also a large element of using social media and designing online campaigns to promote new and used cars. This involves liaising with the brands and marketing companies to ensure brand guidelines are met and ensuring all finance offers meet FCA rules, then designing the web pages to complement the campaign and choosing which marketing channels to use. I have made a number of significant changes that led to an increase in sales across the entire group, both in technical and procedural aspects.   Shrink Digital Ltd. is a company I started in 2004 to bulk process a customer’s CD collection into digital files for them. I made this a successful business and was widely regarded as the highest quality service of this type available, with customers including Bang & Olufsen, The BBC and Dixons Group. I diversified and offered IT services to small businesses including IT support, networking, security, VoIP telephone systems, website design and business work flow consulting. This additional work has included running international web & social media campaigns for a Human Rights law firm. This included liaising with families of victims, law firms, donors and celebrities to promote the causes. I completed all aspects of the business including invoicing, HR, health & safety, marketing and sales were done by me with additional staff split in to teams with responsibility delegated to a team leader.   I started at Goldman Sachs immediately after leaving university and entered their Graduate recruitment scheme. I was part of a small team that looked after the server environment for all London based equities and Fixed Income teams, this totalled in excess of 4000 servers. As well as the servers we also support a variety of Unix and Linux desktop machines on the trading floor and had to deal with managing the expectations of the traders against the changes we needed to make. We would have to regularly put together projects and budget them for presentation to Senior Management. This would also involve analysing the business impact that any changes made would cause, all changes then had to be logged through a change management process. Show less
