As a Program Director, my efforts have resulted in an average 40% increase in the participant-rated metrics relevant to my role. Within my role, I am responsible for the design of the application process and delivery of info sessions, recruitment and interviewing of new, prospective candidates and experienced past participants, onboarding procedures (including email communications and regulatory compliance, performed remotely), training development and delivery for our in-person orientation week, and management of 30 participant leaders within our internal team leadership structure. Additionally, I serve as the key liaison for our program sponsor, Toshin High School - the largest preparatory school network for university entrance examinations in Japan.

In addition to spearheading Come On Out's first in-depth online training in 2021 by pitching it to the company's stakeholders and designing high-quality, accessible training presentations via Google Slides, I have since delivered over 22 hours of training across annual pre-program orientation weekends with a focus on building smaller teams within the larger cohort and focusing on setting up teachers with a mindset to succeed with minimal guidance. Collectively, these trainings have received 92% overall satisfaction from teachers, and stakeholders in our partner company commented that "the level we saw in the teachers from Day 1 this year is what we would have expected to see in Week 3 in previous years".

Lead Content Architect

With high English competency being key to admission to Japan’s top universities, I consulted the development of an innovative digital edtech Ideathon for Japanese students with global ambitions. In addition to facilitating weekends with 180 participants reporting 90%+ end-programme satisfaction, I was instrumental to the design and delivery of key module content via Zoom and Remo, management of an organisation-wide Google Drive, and training of 30+ programme coaches across six time zones.

Working in partnership with Tōshin High School (東進ハイスクール) in the capacity of a teacher, coach and facilitator, I taught English to 8 groups of high school students in Japan by facilitating discussions that supported them in discovering their personal life vision and building their confidence to speak English. Working in partnership with UCL Library Services, I was instrumental in the creation of the “Library of the Month” series that used interviews with key figures and sensory storytelling to bring the oldest and the newest spaces of my university to life. My articles circulated in the weekly myUCL newsletter which reached over 40,000 current students.
