Liaison officer appointed by the Ministry to the Mexican President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa during the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (“COP15”) held in Copenhagen in December, 2009. I was charged with coordinating the arrival and departure of the Mexican President, served as liaison between Mexican and Danish authorities, assisted the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, the Ambassador of Mexico to Denmark and other close advisors to the Mexican President with obtaining information relevant to the Conference and Danish environmental policies and helped schedule bilateral/multilateral meetings with other heads of State or Government. I also provided logistical support to the Ministry during preparations for the Conference, aiding delegations upon their arrival at Copenhagen Airport with, among other matters, problems pertaining to visas, registration for the Conference, accommodation, transportation and information concerning the Conference and side events.
