The hackerspace I volunteer with, HacDC, partnered with Robert on a hacker/makerfaire in Dupont Underground where visitors could interact with 3D printers, laser cutters, and robots, and experience silent films set to original electronic music. Robert was a thoughtful, organized and energetic partner in what was a very successful event. We enjoyed working with Robert - he is an engaged, active listener and has a lively interest in all things art and technology. I would work with him again in a heartbeat.

Had the opportunity to lead a fantastic arts organization based in a massive abandoned trolley station underneath Washington D.C.'s iconic Dupont Circle. The team came together and persevered through a unique set of challenges over the last twenty months: we dealt with a significant reorganization, a hard-fought lease extension discussion, and then the impact of a global pandemic. Despite all of this, we welcomed a record 21,000 visitors in 2019 and 12,000 visitors in the first three months (pre-COVID) of 2020. The team continued to expand despite the pandemic and is now in the most solid organizational and financial position it has ever been. We were able to reopen the space in September, and I could not be prouder to be handing over the reins as we host our Black Lives Matter exhibition 'rise up.'. DU remains a platform for local artists and a space that brings together visitors from all walks of life. It is my tremendous honor to hand over the reins to Oliver Clemmons (incoming CEO) and Nora van Trotsenburg (incoming COO) who have been pillars of the organization and true drivers of change within the organization. I will continue to support their efforts as CEO Emeritus and through my roles with Historic Dupont Main Streets, the Rotary Club of Washington DC and World Press Photo USA.
