Robert is gifted with the ability to remain poised and quickly adapt to challenging situations. When we encountered unexpected hurdles, Robert stayed calm and suggested potential solutions. His expansive knowledge of the code base allowed us to swiftly locate the source of the issue and solve the problem. In addition to being the primary software director at the business, Robert also contributes to the sales and operations departments. His versatility of skills allows him to handle multiple responsibilities and produce excellent results. What impressed me most was how effectively Robert communicated his expectations and goals with the team. Every morning, Robert checked in with the team either through email or in person. On days when new projects were introduced, Robert composed a detailed document outlining the project details and any other additional information. He was always quick to respond to messages which allowed me to be much more efficient in an unfamiliar code base. Throughout the internship, I was encouraged to ask questions and I took that to heart. No matter how simple my questions were, Robert always took time to think and reply with a meaningful response. My most memorable moment was when I was struggling with a project and Robert gave me some encouragement followed by some advice. Overall, I learned more than I could’ve imagined with Robert over the 12-week internship. Robert is everything you could ask for in a manager and provided me with the ideal learning environment: not too much oversight and just enough work.
