Further duties include investigating use of force incidents, on the job injuries, and complaints from clients and members of the public. As part of those duties, I am often tasked with preparing and submitting reports to the Chief Officers of the company regarding the investigations to include my findings, any law violations, and policy violations. Additionally, in circumstances where use of force by an officer or other criteria are met, drafting an incident report of that investigation for the Chief Officers to be sent to BSIS per state law. Part of this role includes working in Field Operations, to include patrolling client sites, responding to calls for service, and alarm activations. In order to work assignments for in-field positions, I must maintain state licensing regarding weapons certifications (California Guard Card, Exposed Firearms Permit, Baton Permit, as well as Taser and Chemical Agents certifications).
