  Assistant Project Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Albuquerque District, serving the Kirtland Air Force Base Resident Office. Accompanies Project Engineers, Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs), and Quality Assurance Representatives at construction sites throughout the Albuquerque District Area of Responsibility. Observes construction activities, weekly contractor's updates, contract preparatory meetings with subcontractors, and Integrated Project Team meetings. Learns the roles and functions of District employees, USACE Park Rangers, and Resident Office Construction Managers. Conducts construction site visits, enforces workplace safety, studies contract specifications and drawings, and interacts with contractors and stakeholders. Represents the U.S. Army on project sites including the NNSA Albuquerque Complex, the Tamaya Pueblo Drainage Project, multiple Kirtland Air Force Base projects, and several Lakes and Dams Project Offices. Learns the structure, systems, and mission areas of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
