Analysis and project management for a rewrite of a Classic ASP web site for DNA World Pet Registry to an ASP.NET web site. Database being used was SQL Server. Various MIcrosoft IDEs such as SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio were used. Some porting of VBScript logic to C#. Project management was SCRUM based but with interactive waterfall aspects included to help estimate big picture costs and expected schedule. JIRA was being used as project management tool. The last activity I performed was creation of C# code for data migration of the old database information to the new database.

Software support programming of web applications using ColdFusion 9 and Microsoft SQL. Primarty role is custom software creation, for reports, scheduled tasks, and database export functions. Investigating and resolving customer problems is the other aspect of my role. Programming is mostly in ColdFusion with some direct modification of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Primary IDE's are DreamWeaver and SQL Server Managemenet Studio. I work from home as part of a small team based primarily in the southern and central US. We use Google Chrome as our primary communication tool taking advantage of its email, instant messaging, video conferencing, and calendar features.

Software development activities for health care industry applications, primarily using C# to produce Windows Forms applications. Embedded SQL queries were used to gain database access for C#, Java, and JavaScript components as well as an XML / RPC interface to a web service. Produced server-side Web application logic for dynamic web pages for web sites, web applications and web services using JavaScript, Java, C#, SQL, and XML/RPC. Updated web services to the above mentioned application provided by Java code running as an Apache Tomcat application servlet.

Performed software engineering duties for the FBI’s CODIS contract. Used C++ to create logic for human pedigree evaluations associated with missing person identification. This logic allows pedigree consistency determination and candidate ranking via Joint Pedigree Likelihood Ratio computation of the the Short Tandem Repeat (STR) DNA data associated with the pedigree. Both aspects of this functionality included considerations for allele mutation and alleles unobserved in the population study data.

Responsibility included the overall architecture, engineering, and management of two software storage products, LaserWare and LaserStar. These products presented and provided access to optical disk storage for the DEC VMS operating system. LaserWare supported individual optical disks while LaserStar supported hundreds of optical disks in a robotics disk changer.
