Division Commander, Special Operations Division. I am responsible for the command of 16 specialized units within the Harford County Sheriff's Office to include the Special Response Team (SWAT), Mobile Field Force (Civil Disturbance), K9, Traffic Unit, Marine Unit, Motors Unit (Motorcycles), Honor Guard, Drone Unit, Crisis Negotiation Team, Body Worn Camera Unit (LESS) and Command Bus Operations. Oversight of the operating and overtime budgets for each unit, staffing and capital projects. Command of barricade situations, hostage negotiations, executive protection details and civil unrest incidents. Responsible for the deployment of K9's, traffic enforcement units and the Traffic Crash Team, which investigates serious and fatal traffic crashes. In partnership with the Natural Resources Police patrol the waterways in Harford County to ensure compliance with safe boating laws. Responsible for the oversight of the Sheriff's Office Body Worn Camera program to include the vetting and release of camera footage for court proceedings, media relations and in compliance with court orders and the Public Information Act.

First line supervisor in the Court Services Division for 20 months then transferred back to the Special Investigations Division, Harford County Narcotics Task Force. During my time in Court Services I was responsible for the overall security in the Circuit Court for Harford County. Security for the Judges, courtrooms and prisoners transported for trial. Completed a full overhaul of the Circuit Court security cameras, access doors, security policy and bomb threat policy. Once assigned back to the HCNTF I worked mid to upper level narcotics cases and supervised the work of detectives from the Sheriff's Office, Aberdeen Police, Bel Air Police and Havre de Grace Police Departments as part of a joint task force.

As a detective in the Task Force, I investigated street level drug dealers, working in a covert capacity. During this time I made over 500 hand to hand drug buys, authored over 300 search and seizure warrants and indicted numerous suspects for violations of the Controlled Dangerous Substances laws receiving convictions at both the state and federal level.
