I have known Robert, whom I call Robbie, for the better part of two decades now. In 2002, I was an Explorer when he was the lead advisor for the program at the Clemson Police Department. I then followed him to become an Explorer at the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and, when I began my full-time law enforcement professional career in 2006, he continued to be one of my closest friends and my long time mentor. I briefly worked for him at Pickens County as a Deputy Sheriff as well. Robbie is an incredible professional who has always been the most dependable support person possible. He has given me solid advice throughout my entire career. Robbie displays incredible integrity and I have watched him in some of the most intense situations imaginable. He always remains level-headed and always gets the job done. He has experience in so many different areas and is always a top performer, no matter what his role is. I am lucky to have called Robbie a mentor for so many years and I believe he is one of the best criminal justice professionals I've ever met.
